Justice for The Poor
The Justice for the Poor Program is an initiative from The Social Development Unit of The World Bank, Jakarta.Since 2002, Justice for the Poor has operated a mix of research and operational programs aiming to improve acces to justice for communities, in particular the poor, whether this be through formal  or informal mechanism.As part of an international Justice for the Poor network, the program aims to support pro - poor approaches to justice sector reform, that:

  • sees justice from the perspective of the poor and marginalized;
  • is based on social and cultural context ;
  • recognized the importance of demand in building equitable justice system;
  • and understand justice as a cross-sectoral issue
